Baking Arts

What We Do

The folding of a croissant, the lattice work of a pie—your hands will transform sugar, butter and flour into awe-inspiring creations in Baking Arts. Work in a real, off-campus bake shop and see, smell, and feel what it’s like to be in a professional setting. In lecture and lab, learn baking principles, methods/preparations, plus customer service skills, culinary math, and workplace skills. In-class tastings? Icing on the cake!
