Wendy Clark Bio

I, Chef Wendy Clark, Baking Arts Instructor, am a " born and raised"  Spaulding High School class of ‘96 alumni.  After high school, I completed my associate and bachelor's degrees at New Hampshire College (Currently known as Southern New Hampshire University) in culinary arts (with a certificate in baking arts, earning the Culinarian of the Year Award), and restaurant management, respectively.

I began my first teaching job in Durham, North Carolina.  After a year with "questionable" winter weather, I missed the defined seasons of the Northeast and returned to Southern New Hampshire.  I taught in Manchester at the School of Technology for several years, before re-entering the industry as a pastry sous chef, night baking manager, and hospitality temp employee.  I was fortunate to teach a few semesters at the Hospitality Center at SNHU, before applying for my dream job at CVCC.  I earned my Masters in Education degree from SNHU in 2021.  The 2024-2025 school year will be my 19th year teaching at the Central Vermont Career Center.

In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have served as a teacher mentor, a team leader, PATH (Planned Action Toward Health) Wellness Leader, SkillsUSA Advisor for Commercial Baking and BEA Building Representative during my tenure.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors in all the elements walking/hiking/gardening with my faithful Black Lab/Walking Hound Mix, Indigo. While not outside, you will find me enjoying pastry shops, ice cream parlors and restaurants with my close friends, and family. I am also the proud Aunt to four spectacular nieces (3 month old, 3 1/2, 18 and 19)! The most commonly asked question I receive is; "you must get tired of pastries and baked goods?", while many in the industry experience this question and in fact, grow weary of the products they prepare and serve, I have continued my dedicated love to all things butter, sugar, and pastry.
