Rick McGrath Bio

Starting in a new role as Plumbing and Heating instructor here at CVCC.  I am a product of technical education with over 30 years of experience.  I hold a Master Plumbing license in VT, MA, and RI.  I am a Master Gas Fitter in MA as well as a Master Sheet Metal Installer.  I began my teaching career in 2004 while operating a 10 - 15 person Plumbing and HVAC business.  I was part of an instruction team that built a Plumbing and Heating program in Southeastern MA from the ground up serving grades 9 - 12.  Soon after I launched an adult program offering graduates and adults in industry a pathway to licensure.  Prior to joining the team here at CVCC, I was in leadership roles in MA and most recently in VT with Vermont Mechanical.  I love to work outside.  Football is my favorite sport to watch, coach, and play.  Fun fact, I am trying to learn how to play harmonica.

I am most looking forward to getting to know my students and members of the local community.
