Wendy Clark Bio
Chef Wendy Clark, Baking Arts Instructor at the Central Vermont Career Center, is a proud Spaulding High School alumna, Class of ’96. She went on to earn her associate degree in Culinary Arts (with a Baking Arts certificate and the Culinarian of the Year Award) and her bachelor’s degree in Restaurant Management from New Hampshire College, now Southern New Hampshire University. After beginning her teaching career in North Carolina, she returned to New England, teaching in Manchester before gaining valuable industry experience as a pastry sous chef, night baking manager, and hospitality professional. She later returned to SNHU as an adjunct instructor before joining CVCC, where she has proudly taught since 2006. In 2021, she earned her Master’s in Education from SNHU, and the 2025–2026 school year marks her 20th year teaching at CVCC. Throughout her career, Chef Clark has also served as a mentor teacher, team leader, PATH Wellness Leader, SkillsUSA advisor for Commercial Baking, and BEA Building Representative.
Outside the classroom, Chef Clark enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle in every season, from walking and hiking to gardening, always with her two loyal canine companions, Indigo and Buttercup, by her side. She treasures time spent with friends and family exploring pastry shops, ice cream parlors, and restaurants, and she is a proud aunt to four wonderful nieces. When asked the inevitable question—“Do you ever get tired of pastries and baked goods?”—her answer is a resounding no. While some in the industry grow weary of the products they create, Chef Clark continues to be inspired by her enduring love of all things butter, sugar, and pastry.
