This course provides certified EMTs with the advanced knowledge and invasive skills necessary to bridge the gap between basic life support and advanced pre-hospital care.
Operating under medical oversight, you will learn to utilize paramedic-level ambulance equipment, master advanced airway management and CPAP systems, establish vascular access through IV and IO placement, and safely administer critical emergency medications. The curriculum combines interactive didactic lectures with intensive hands-on skills laboratories and real-world clinical rotations in hospital emergency departments and active EMS units. Upon successful completion, graduates receive a Course Completion Certificate and gain immediate eligibility to sit for the National Registry (NREMT) cognitive and psychomotor licensing exams.

Under the direction of onsite licensed nursing staff, LNAs play a vital role on the healthcare team. Graduates of this program will be fully prepared to work in a variety of settings—including hospitals, long-term care facilities, doctors’ offices, private duty, and home health care.

Best of all, tuition assistance is available via WIOA, VSAC or HireAbility for qualified applicants. *Integrated English Language Learner (ELL) support runs alongside the curriculum, ensuring everyone can confidently master the material.

Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid are two separate introductory training courses. Applicants can take one or both three hour courses that lead to AHA Certification(s).

Best of all, students will be concurrently enrolled in the self-paced Ed2Go: Creating a Successful Business Plan curriculum through CVCC to anchor their academic learning with technical depth.
Introduction to Welding
Have you always wanted to learn how to fuse metal, fix your own equipment, or dive into the creative world of metal fabrication? This hands-on introductory course is designed specifically for working adults with zero prior welding experience.
This course strips away the intimidation factor, emphasizing workshop safety, core concepts, and immediate, muscle-memory shop practice. You will gain a solid baseline in the three primary welding disciplines: Stick (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), and TIG (GTAW), while learning how to cut and prep metal like a professional.
