Emergency Services II Program is paused for the 25-26 School Year

What We Do

Emergency Services I:

Would you know what to do in an emergency? Our program prepares you to handle many types of emergencies and become fully prepared to enter the Emergency Services workforce or enter into post-secondary education and training. The program  prepares students to provide prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study include the responsibilities of an EMT, anatomy and physiology, medical emergencies, trauma, special considerations for working in the prehospital setting, and providing patient transportation.

 

Opportunities

Successful students in this program have these academic opportunities available:
•    Emergency Medical Technician Certification
•     CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
•    FEMA certification courses
•    Hazardous Materials Awareness Certification
•     Field experience with local Emergency Services
•     Ability to earn post-secondary credits from VTSU
Students will be eligible to earn 5 dual enrollment/fast forward credits through Vermont State University, VTSU-1011 - Emergency Medical Technician
