Cosmetology

What We Do

Cosmetology prepares individuals to use their artistic skills to help people look and feel their best. It encompasses a wide range of skills, including hair cutting and coloring, chemical texturizing, waxing, skincare, nail services, and makeup application. Completing the two-year CVCC Cosmetology Program prepares individuals for the Vermont State Board of Cosmetology license exam and sets the foundation for a successful career in the industry.

Opportunities

Successful students in this program have these academic opportunities available:
•     Students who have successfully completed 1,000 hours can sit for the Vermont Licensing Exam for Cosmetology (second year of program required). 
•     Ability to earn post-secondary credits and/or industry credentials while at CVCC
